Collection Management Protocol

The Choice Collection Management Protocol: eight steps that turn a box of stuff into a documented collection. Your portal tracks them.

1. Intake: log what you have: type, quantity, source.
2. Catalog: description, year, mint or set, cert, grade, label. One record per item.
3. Photograph: front, back, label and edges (see the photo guide).
4. Grade or verify: check the cert on the grader's own site; decide raw vs. submit (calculator).
5. Store: the right holder, box and environment (our standard).
6. Insure: keep an exportable record for your insurer. We don't sell insurance.
7. Review: an annual check of condition, photos and records.
8. Upgrade or complete: set gaps go to your want list.
