The Choice Panel
The Choice Panel is a small group of experienced collectors who test new supplies and custom products before release and give honest feedback.
Honest testing by people who know what good looks like.
Before a new holder, album, storage box or custom piece goes on sale, we want it in the hands of collectors who will tell us the truth. The Choice Panel is a small group of experienced collectors (we're planning 8 to 15) who receive samples of new supplies and custom products before release and score them honestly.
What panelists test
New supplies and custom products such as set-completion albums, display stands, slab storage boxes and holder labels, before they're released.
How testing works
- Panelists receive a sample, shipped directly to them.
- They use it with their own collection for about two weeks, then fill out a short scorecard: fit, protection, build quality, ease of use, looks, customization accuracy, value, and how it arrived.
- If a product doesn't pass, it doesn't launch. We fix it and retest, or we drop it.
Who we're looking for
- Adults (18+) with a US shipping address
- Gold-level Choice Mentors and community members known for helpful, accurate tips
- A mix of categories and experience levels
Panel terms run six months and can be renewed.
Our honesty rules
- Panelists are never paid for reviews, and we never ask for positive ones.
- Panelists are never required to post anywhere.
- If a panelist does post about a product, they must clearly say they received the sample at no cost from Choice Custom Collections to test.
- We never write reviews for panelists and never publish made-up reviews.
- If we share panel results, they'll be real, combined results only.
Recognition
Products that pass carry a "Tested by the Choice Panel" mark, and panelists can choose to be credited by handle and receive a "Choice Panel Tester" profile badge.
